Escaped to the forests of Liuyang and became a “free spirit” for 48 hours

Worker, entrepreneur, call me whatever you want. In short, for the past six months, my phone never stopped ringing, and my mind was juggling the progress of seven or eight projects at once.

But life can’t be just about work; you have to live for yourself a few days! So I told my bestie, and we left on a whim! Driving from Changsha, it only took about 1 hour to get there. The guesthouse we stayed at was hidden deep in the mountains, with white walls and black tiles, peaceful and quiet.

We had lunch at the guesthouse’s restaurant, enjoying authentic Liuyang cuisine. The dishes followed the seasons and tasted like home cooking, but the rich, savory flavors really warmed the heart.

After eating our fill, the guesthouse arranged a singing bowl experience in a small cabin in the woods. I can’t even remember the last time I had such a deep, dreamless sleep. Waking up groggy, the wind fluttered the sheer curtains, and a little deer peeked in from outside to see what was going on. That moment was truly healing.

Awake and alive again, I grabbed my bestie and we went crazy taking photos on the large lawn in front of and behind the guesthouse—every shot was a winner! The pool in the front yard felt like we were at Anaya, feeding little rabbits by the poolside~ The whole point of a trip is to relax.

Tired from playing, we returned to the room. The best decision was booking a room with a private hot spring. Pulling back the curtains of the entire glass wall, a rich tapestry of greenery instantly filled my view. At that moment, all the fatigue and gloom brought by work were gently washed away by this warm pool and the surrounding forest.

This spontaneous escape didn’t solve any real work problems, but it gave me something even more precious: a breath of fresh air and a heart that felt light again.

Heading back to keep fighting! But this time, I feel fully recharged.
