Located southeast of Laiguo Glacier, Azha Glacier is the lowest glacier in Tibet. Its main peak is 6,882 meters high and the glacier is approximately 27 kilometers long. Its glacier tongue is divided into two branches, the northern branch, a secondary glacier tongue, located within Ranwu Town. The southern branch, the main glacier tongue, is located within Zayu County and largely passes through the forest, creating a rare forest-glacier landscape.

The leading edge of the glacier extends several kilometers into the primeval forest, like a giant silver dragon moving through a "green ocean." Therefore, the Aza Glacier is affectionately called the "Green Sea Glacier."
