Visiting the Birthplace of Poet Yun Dong-ju

I visited Yongjeong Myeongdong Village, where the birthplace of poet Yun Dong-ju, who wrote the poem "Foreword," has been restored. Standing before the monument of "Foreword," I paid my respects to the life of this independence activist and poet, who tragically passed away at the age of 28.

To get there, I took a bus from Yanji to Yongjeong and then a taxi from Yongjeong to Myeongdong Village. For those planning a similar trip, I recommend asking the taxi driver to wait for about 30 to 50 minutes. Since I wanted to take a photo at the entrance of Myeongdong Village, I walked about 10 minutes out and waited for around 20 minutes before sharing a passing taxi back to Yongjeong.
