Less crowded, beautiful scenery, and free—Guizhou's hidden gem is actually Luodian

People say Xiaoqikong is overcrowded, so as someone with social anxiety, I immediately gave up on Libo.
From Guiyang North Station, I headed straight to Luodian 🚗, about two hours away.
I found another glass-clear water spot—Luodian Daxiaojing.

Because it’s so comprehensive, if you want to see and do everything, you really need to plan your route well. The scenic area is relatively narrow and long. I chose to stay inside the scenic area, which allowed me to park closer and more conveniently, and also made it easier to wash up after playing in the water 🚿. This time I stayed at Jingyun Tianqi, which has a great location and excellent views. It’s less than a ten-minute walk to the bamboo rafting starting point.
The bamboo rafting starts at 30 yuan per person. The route isn’t long but is truly beautiful. After the bamboo raft stops, there’s a small supply point. The signs are very clear: turn right ➡️ to Tiande Cave, turn left ⬅️ to Xiangshui Cave.
If you want to visit both, you need to return to this supply point to continue.
We wanted to spend more time paddleboarding, so we only went to one cave. The guesthouse owner gave very detailed advice, and we chose Tiande Cave.
Before going to Tiande Cave, we first visited the Pit Bottom Blue Cave, which is very photogenic. The clear, pure blue water is a must-see, and you can also take a bamboo raft into the cave to experience its depth. Further up, there’s a fork leading to Baijing Cave. I personally recommend not missing it. This unassuming free cave in the scenic area really amazed me 🤩🤩. It’s a 15-minute climb to the cave entrance, and there’s some climbing inside, but it’s all worth it!
Above Tiande Cave, there’s a cliff swing attraction. If you like thrills, you can try it out.
Paddleboarding 🚣🏽‍♂️ is available at the bamboo rafting return point. All are privately operated with a unified price of 80 yuan/hour, and you can bargain 🤭.
There’s also an open-air café ☕ above the paddleboarding area, where one kind of happiness is sipping a drink while watching others play in the water [Yeah].
Xiangshui Cave also offers bamboo rafting deep into the cave, and there’s a via ferrata experience as well.
It’s worth mentioning that the yellow soybean chicken here is especially delicious. Any restaurant you choose won’t disappoint! You must try it.
