September to October offers crisp autumn air and colorful forests, perfect for hiking and photography;

December to February is cold and damp, some attractions close, but you might catch the rare frost phenomenon (a hidden gem recommendation).

Photographers should choose mid-May early mornings to capture the sunrise at Hanpoukou and the sea of clouds;
Art lovers can join the annual spring "Lushan Poetry Festival."

🕐 How many days to stay? A 3-day, 2-night in-depth trip is recommended.

Lushan is vast with scattered attractions, requiring sightseeing buses to connect spots. Staying at least two nights helps avoid crowds and cover the highlights.

✅ Suggested itinerary:
Day 1: Ascend the mountain + Huajing & Ruqin Lake
Take the high-speed train to [Jiujiang Station], then taxi or bus to Nanshan/Beishan Gate (about 40 minutes, 10 RMB);
Buy tickets to enter the mountain (160 RMB entrance, 80 RMB sightseeing bus for 7 days, half price for students);
Stay in an economy hotel or guesthouse in Guling Town (standard room about 200 RMB/night);
In the afternoon, visit [Huajing Park], [Ruqin Lake], [Jinxiugu Valley], hike to [Xianren Cave], and experience the "April flowers fading on earth" described by Bai Juyi;
In the evening, stroll along [Guling Street] and taste stone chicken, stone ear mushrooms, and tea cakes.
Day 2: Wulao Peak + San Die Spring
Early morning watch the sunrise at [Hanpoukou] (a must-see!);
