Hangzhou Mushou Xixi | A Zen Retreat

I redeemed two nights at this hotel with Hyatt Category 4 certificates before Hyatt's partnership with SLH ended. Occupancy was low after the Lunar New Year, so the front desk upgraded me to a suite.
This hotel has very polarized reviews, and it ultimately comes down to how much you're paying. Redeeming Hyatt Category 4 certificates, earned through five different Hyatt brands and stays, for a value of over CNY 2,200 offers excellent value.
Like other SLH properties, the hotel has a secluded feel. The front desk staff is welcoming, and electric carts shuttle guests between the main lobby and the residential area.
My suite, Room 5105, "Mingshe," is a ground-floor courtyard suite with a private entrance. The small courtyard's outdoor dining table offers reasonable privacy, with two trees partially obscuring the main pathway. The lounge chairs face the banquet hall, an area typically deserted.
The bathroom has heated floors. The only drawback to the suite is the separated bathroom layout. The toilet is in its own room without a sink, and this area is quite dark at night, illuminated by only a single spotlight.
Outside the Xixi Wetlands, about a 15–20 minute walk from the hotel, there's a shopping mall and a Sam's Club.
