Passing through the bustling streets of Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro in Macau, the Governor's Palace is quietly hidden among the prosperity and greenery, standing like a rough jade. The distinctive red and white exterior walls and symmetrical architectural design, with their elegant Portuguese style, seem to be telling the story of the colonial era that spans time and space. The flags in front of the gate flutter in the breeze, symbolizing the intersection of Macau’s history and present. Walking into the Governor's Mansion, the space exudes a solemn atmosphere everywhere. The wooden staircase, carved railings and high ceilings together create a picture that is both classic and solemn. Lush green plants are reflected outside every window, as if integrating this symbol of power into the embrace of nature. From the office to the reception room, everything exudes its former importance and historical weight. Standing in the courtyard of the mansion, looking beyond the green shade to the streets of Macau in the distance, you can seem to feel the traces of time settling here. This is not only a building, but also a witness of an era, silently telling the story of the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures. When I left, the tranquility and majesty of the Governor's Mansion remained deep in my memory.
