If you only have 2️⃣ days in Macao, it’s recommended to copy this itinerary
One day exploring the bustling Peninsula, one day indulging in the dazzling Cotai✨
Step-by-step guide to shooting amazing photos in 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐨
Day 1: Arrive at Fisherman’s Wharf - Grand Lisboa & Old Lisboa - Ruins of St. Paul’s - St. Dominic’s Church - Travessa do Mastro - Barracks Street - Guia Lighthouse - Artsy Coloane Island
Ruins of St. Paul’s
Three iconic photo spots: Lover’s Lane, Mount Fortress Park, and Uniqlo, all classic places for photos~
St. Dominic’s Church
A 5-minute walk from the Ruins of St. Paul’s, closed on Wednesdays
Guia Area
Old and new streets side by side: Navigate to “Kim Viet Vietnamese Beef Noodles,” a National Geographic photo spot! The contrast of Grand Lisboa and the old residential alleys is truly stunning!
Barracks Street
A street with strong depth perspective, perfect for striking photos
Guia Lighthouse
Macao’s oldest lighthouse; climb Guia Hill for panoramic city views. Recommended to visit at dusk and catch the “Lighthouse Pine Waves.”
Fisherman’s Wharf
Roman Square: After 3:00 PM, the slanting sunlight shines through the arches, creating beautiful light and shadow layers.
Yiwan Alley & Jardim da Flora
Pink and blue couple spots: Yiwan Alley for pink houses + Macao Tower sea view; Jardim da Flora’s mint green castle needs sunny weather for tree shadows.
Artsy Coloane Island
Home to St. Francis Xavier Church, with mint green walls and white domes, a filming location for “From Vegas to Macau.”
Day 2: The Venetian - Eiffel Tower - Parisian Garden - Rua do Cunha lunch - The Londoner - Wynn Palace Musical Fountain
The Venetian
Take a gondola ride in the Grand Canal Shoppes; the artificial sky dome looks like the real sky, making you feel like you’re in Venice.
Rua do Cunha Lunch
Many Macao delicacies gather here; the different styles of Macao signs make great photo spots, and on sunny days, the dopamine-inducing colorful houses are dreamy.
Parisian Garden
Full view of the Eiffel Tower: shoot from the garden lawn looking up; afternoon light makes the tower clearer; for a bird’s eye view, go to the 37th-floor observation deck (paid) to overlook the Cotai Strip.
The Londoner
Great for photos day or night, but night shots are especially recommended. Main photo spots include The Londoner, Venetian corridor, and the red buses.
Wynn Palace Free Shuttle
Secret entrance: avoid long lines on the ground by queuing at the hotel’s 2nd-floor entrance, which is almost 3 times faster.
