Must-See Macau One-Day Itinerary (Overnight Edition)

This guide is perfect for a one-day Macau trip with overnight stay (arriving afternoon Day 1 to morning Day 2 / evening Day 1 to full day Day 2).

1️⃣ Essentials
Mainland Travel Permit/Passport. Note: Passport holders must be transiting through Macau internationally (either returning to mainland from abroad or heading to third countries)

2️⃣ Hotels
Highly recommend staying overnight in Macau - especially on weekdays when prices are surprisingly affordable! Even during weekends/holidays, early bookings can score great deals❗️ The photo ops at hotels overlooking Big Ben replica/Parisian Eiffel Tower are absolutely Instagram-worthy❗️

Big Ben view hotels:
• Conrad Macao
• The St. Regis Macao
• The Londoner Macao
• The Venetian Macao

Eiffel Tower view hotels:
• Grand Coloane Resort (Macau Luxury Collection)
• Parisian Macao
• The Londoner Macao
• The Venetian Macao
• Four Seasons Hotel Macao

3️⃣ Dining
Skip buffets if budget allows - save your appetite for Michelin-starred restaurants! Macau currently has two 3-star Michelin venues: Robuchon au Dôme (French) and Jade Dragon (Chinese) - check my previous reviews. Both require reservations at least one month in advance via phone/email❗️

4️⃣ Route

From Zhuhai: Enter via Gongbei Port
From Hong Kong: Take ferry
Both routes offer free casino shuttle buses. Recommended itinerary:
Morning: Macau Peninsula (Old Town)
Afternoon+Evening: Taipa/Cotai

Peninsula Route:
Ruins of St. Paul's ➡ Rua Nova à Guia ➡ Fisherman's Wharf ➡ Fortune Tree Show

Taipa/Cotai Route:
Parisian Garden ➡ The Venetian ➡ The Londoner ➡ Wynn Palace Fountain Show
All Taipa attractions are connected by indoor walkways - perfect for avoiding sun exposure!
