Yesterday at Phu Mok House

Have you ever felt this way? Just catching a faint scent of the cold breeze or seeing a light mist can make your mind drift back to a cherished memory. For me, it’s "Phu Mok House" at Mon Jam.

I remember about five years ago, I rode a motorbike up the mountain, somewhat cluelessly, following Google Maps until I reached the entrance to Phu Mok House. The road was quite steep, and since I was on a motorbike, the kind folks at Phu Mok House offered to ride it up to the accommodation for me. If I had tried to do it myself, I might have ended up with some scrapes and bruises! 😆

"A 360-degree view of mist-covered mountains"
The place offers several zones for accommodation, and I stayed in Zone A, which is perched on the highest hill. Opening the window, I was greeted by a sea of mist floating gently, accompanied by the soft chirping of birds. It felt like a scene straight out of a movie, untouched and perfect.

"Evening barbecue in front of the house"
The chilly night was exhilarating. We ordered a barbecue set and enjoyed it right in front of the house, sitting in a circle, laughing and chatting under the starlit sky. Everything was simple yet profoundly meaningful.

"Morning sunrise to greet the day"
At dawn, "Hey! The sun is rising!" Stepping out in front of the house, I was met with a golden sky, silver mist, and layers of mountains that looked like a painting.
Phu Mok House isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a treasure trove of beautiful memories from a special time in life.
