Worship at Yuantong Temple in Kunming

Pray for blessings at the Phra Buddha Chinnarat and the Thousand-Handed Guanyin at Yuantong Temple, an ancient temple in Kunming.

As you enter the temple, on the right-hand side, you'll find a booth where you can pick up incense sticks to worship. Donations are accepted. People often pray for blessings in matters of love, luck, family, health, and studies.

The Thousand-Handed Guanyin statue is housed in an octagonal pavilion in the middle of a pond. The architecture is beautiful and unique. Crossing the bridge to the back, you'll find a white chapel.
Inside the chapel, you'll find a Phra Buddha Chinnarat from Thailand, a popular place for Thai tourists to pay their respects.

The temple grounds are peaceful and shady, with beautiful sculptures reflecting its age-old history. If you're visiting Kunming, we recommend paying your respects at Yuantong Temple.
