Budget Bliss with a Mountain View in Chiang Rai 🌄✨

I’ve always dreamed of staying somewhere with a stunning mountain view in Chiang Rai—but most places were way over my budget at $100+ per night. Luckily, I stumbled upon Yamee Homestay, a real hidden gem that offers incredible views for just $50–60 per night.

The coffee was absolutely superb, just the way I like it—smooth and bitter. Honestly, every cup I had in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai was amazing. You can walk around to find some local spots for meals, but don’t expect fancy restaurants in the area. It’s all about simplicity and charm here.

🏔️ Note: Getting to the homestay can be a bit tricky. It’s located up the mountain with narrow roads, and to top it off, our car took the wrong turn 😅. It’s definitely more convenient if you have private transfer or someone familiar with the area.

🍲 Breakfast wasn’t buffet-style—just a warm bowl of congee, but it hit the spot.

✅ Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
✅ Value for Money: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
✅ Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
✅ Location: ⭐⭐⭐ (great view, but remote & not for everyone)
🚫 No pool

🔍 Tips: Please check the season before planning your trip. We went in April, which is crop-burning season in the north. The air was hazy with pollution, and most of my mountain photos turned out blurry. If you’re visiting during this time, bring a mask and don’t expect crystal-clear views.

Still, if you’re after a quiet stay with great coffee and unbeatable value, Yamee Homestay is worth the trip. 🌿☕
