This trip was a spur-of-the-moment "long weekend getaway."
I initially thought flights would be expensive, and after checking several locations, they were all out of my budget.
To my surprise, I found round-trip tickets from Taipei to Manila for just over NT$8,000.
The flight times were perfect, and it was perfect for three days and two nights.

Manila has a wide variety of accommodation options, ranging from budget-friendly hostels to luxury hotels.
Since it was my first visit, I chose accommodations in Makati.
The area is fresh, clean, and feels safe.

In Manila, the main mode of transportation is ride-hailing apps. Overall, it's very convenient, but you might have to wait a bit during peak hours.
The fares are more affordable than in Taiwan, and the drivers are very friendly.

Manila's food impressed me!
From mall restaurants to street food, the food is delicious.

The seafood, barbecue, and mango desserts are especially delicious and unforgettable.
