Calls to Prayers at Koutoubia

The Koutoubia Mosque is the spiritual heart of Marrakesh. The mosque dates from the 1100s and it is a magnificent example of Moroccan spiritual heritage. Only Muslims are allowed to enter the mosque but outside the mosque there is a plaza with beautiful gardens and fountains. This area is a real respite from the hustle and bustle of the old town city centre just a few metres away.
