Azusa River Review 💙

Azusa River Review – A river that flows gently through the heart, but never fades 🌊🏞️🫧

If nature could speak, I think the Azusa River in Kamikōchi would say softly,
“No need to rush… Just stay here.”

Azusa is a clear river that flows through the Kamikōchi Valley. It is long and calm, and is like the main artery that gently nourishes the forest, trees, and visitors. There is no roar of the waterfall, no rapids, but the water flows steadily, so clear that you can see the beautiful natural patterns of the rocks below.

💙 The color of the water… is the first thing that makes me stop and breathe for a moment. It is a blue-green color that changes with the sunlight at different times — sometimes like a drop of indigo, sometimes so clear that it is almost colorless. But no matter when, it is so clean that just looking at it feels like washing my heart.

🌲 The large trees on the bank lean their branches down to the end of the water. The rays of light pass through the leaves, reflecting on the glittering surface of the water. At times, the mist hung low above the water surface like a scene from a dream. The shadow of Mt. Hotaka was perfectly reflected in the water like a natural mirror.

👣 Walking along the wooden boardwalk parallel to the river was one of the most relaxing experiences in my life. Just hearing the gentle sound of the water flowing and the wind through the trees, everything that was chaotic in my head became quiet without any effort.

🕊️ And even though the river kept flowing and never turned back,
my heart was still attached to it.
It was like it “flowed through memories” more than just physical space.
