How about going on an adventure for the weekend? Sounds good?
a serene coastal gem on the Mornington Peninsula about an hour’s drive from Melbourne, you may wondering what to do?
📍 Point Leo
Point Leo is located on Western Port Bay in Victoria, offering a peaceful coastal setting surrounded by vegetated basalt bluffs and wide stretches of sand. Famous for its surf‑friendly beach, fishing opportunities, scenic walks, and bushland views.
🏕️ Camping at Point Leo Foreshore Reserve
Offers 168 campsites, of which 45 are powered. Beach‑front spots are available near sites 1–11. I stayed in beach front spot and it will cost you start from $37 per day.
The camping ground itself is beyond expectation. They are kids friendly with playground inside, BBQ Facilities and fully equipped kitchen.
🏖️ Beach Time
Point Leo Beach (~500 m long) is popular with surfers. Come in the early morning, you will see a lot of surfers, there’s also a surfing school there.
Because it’s a coastal line area, you can just walk along the beach and see many interest things.
If you have fishing gear or even a canoe it’s even gonna be better! The waves is pretty chill.
🥘 Food Supply
Do not worry about food supply, in case you forget bring something. There’s general store just 5mins walking from camping ground and they also have beautiful pastry selection.
