Miyazaki's Beautiful Coastline: Demon's Washboard and Aoshima Shrine

Walk across the Yayoi Bridge connecting Miyazaki and Aoshima
What comes into view is the vermilion torii gate and the ghost's washing board standing on the beach.
After millions of years of erosion and sedimentation, strange wavy rocks like washboards have been formed on the beach. This is a famous natural landscape in Miyazaki!
After entering the torii gate, you will reach Qingdao Shrine, which is the famous Marriage Shrine.
The background is based on the protagonist Yukihiko Yamama, his wife Toyotama Himimei and Shiotatsugami in Hyuga Mythology.
Currently, it is an energy attraction for seeking marriage, smooth childbirth, and traveling far~

There is an Ema tunnel inside the shrine. After passing through the tunnel, you can see the special spirit paper figurines and Tennohira urns.
The former is to tie paper of different colors to the palm tree next to Yuan Palace to pray for the couple.
The latter is achieved by throwing a flat pottery urn into a designated area.

In addition, the guardians of Qingdao Shrine are super cute! !
The dumpling-shaped omamori and the essential oil omamori made from local Miyazaki cedar are really special. The most popular ones are the couple’s omamori.
