Mokpo 1-Night, 2-Day Travel Guide

🚗🌅 Right after work, I hopped on a train heading to the southernmost tip of Korea 🌊 Mokpo. As soon as I arrived, the scent of the sea brushed past my nose, melting away the fatigue of the day. On the first day, I started with a leisurely walk along Mokpo's iconic Gatbawi Coastal Trail. As the sunset spread its hues over the sea, the crimson sky and the sound of waves created a scene as beautiful as a movie. 🌇💛 For dinner, I visited the seafood market near Mokpo Port and enjoyed a plate of fresh sashimi, Jeolla-style fermented skate salad, and octopus sashimi. The rich flavors bursting in my mouth made me exclaim, "This is why Jeolla cuisine is so famous!" 🍶🐙

The next morning ☀️, I sipped a simple cup of coffee at my accommodation while gazing at the gentle waves. Later, I climbed Yudalsan Mountain. The view of Mokpo city and the sea from the not-so-steep trail was like a painting. 🏞️ As the wind brushed my face and tousled my hair, I felt a sense of clarity in my heart. On the way down, I strolled through the Modern History Museum Street, exploring old buildings and cafes. The remnants of the past scattered here and there evoked a peculiar sense of nostalgia. ☕🏛️ Finally, I wrapped up my trip by riding the Mokpo Marine Cable Car, looking down at the sea from the sky. Watching the city sparkle under the crimson sunset, I felt grateful for taking a break from daily life to visit this place. 💫🌇

Though small, this 1-night, 2-day trip to Mokpo was a city that quietly soothed my soul.
