World Turtle Day: Celebrating Nature's Slow and Steady Wonders 🐢🌏

Did you know that today is World Turtle Day? And no, they aren't slow; I couldn't even outpace one in my kayak! 🐢😅

At our @dusitthanimv resort, environmental conservation is taken seriously. The entire island remains untouched, and feeding practices are restricted. For instance, feeding sharks, turtles, and mantas is prohibited because it disrupts their hunting and self-sufficiency. So, if your resort offers fish feeding, it's better to skip it – you'll be doing the fish a favor!

Today, actions are taking place in turtle habitats worldwide. Volunteers are rescuing these magnificent creatures and working to secure protected areas where sea turtles lay their eggs.

I love holidays like this more than having 11 days off in May! 😅
