Take a train to Mae Klong

#BudgetTravel
🚂🚂 On a weekend at the end of the month like this, let's try to find a super budget-friendly one-day trip. We ended up going to find something to eat at the Rom Hub Market, Mae Klong. Let's start!🚶🚶
📌 Let's start with the journey. For this trip, we chose to travel by 3rd-class train at Wongwian Yai Station. We bought a ticket from Wongwian Yai to Mahachai at 10.40 am for 10 baht and travel time was 1 hour.
📌 Upon reaching Mahachai Station, we had to travel to the ferry pier to walk and see seafood, shrimp, shellfish, crabs, and fish for about 200 meters. Along the way, we bought fresh palm sugar for 20 baht. Upon reaching the ferry pier to Tha Chalom, it cost 3 baht.
📌 Upon boarding the boat at Tha Chalom, we had to continue to Wat Laem Suwannaram. We could have taken a motorcycle taxi, but we chose to walk and see the street art on the water drainage cover, which was about 1 km away. On the way, we stopped to buy fresh coffee for 40 baht.
📌 Upon reaching Wat Laem Suwannaram, we walked through the back of the temple and found Ban Laem Railway Station. Buy a ticket from Ban Laem to Mae Klong for 10 baht.
📌 Travel for 1 hour to Mae Klong Station. Before reaching the station, you will find the atmosphere of the Umbrella Market, which means closing the umbrella to escape the train. When we arrived at the market, we stopped to find food, noodles, ice cream, and went to worship at Phet Samut Worawihan Temple. We spent a lot of money on food here.
😽😽 In summary, this budget trip only saved on transportation costs. The Mae Klong trip cost 23 baht, round trip for only 46 baht, which is considered very economical. As for the food costs, it was a bit more, so it depends on your preference.
