[Nagoya City] Tea time at a Western-style sweets cafe 🍰

A pioneer of Western-style sweets and coffee shops in Nagoya.

I finally had a chance to visit the coffee shop "Bonbon" which opened in 1949!

It's about a 7-minute walk from the nearest subway station, Takaoka Station.

The shop is located along National Route 41, and the exterior has a historic feel, and the interior has a retro atmosphere that is typical of a traditional coffee shop◎

It's open every day from 8am to 9pm, and can be used for various purposes such as breakfast, lunch, and cafe, but the main feature of Bonbon is the overwhelming number of Western-style sweets, so I visited for tea time after a meal😊

I was surprised at the number of cakes on the menu!

Although there were quite a few items that were sold out, it was still difficult to decide which one to get😆

And when you look closely, the prices are generally cheap! ?

Most are in the 300 yen range, which is a nice price.
So I ended up ordering a pudding and a cake 😁

The pudding royal my friend ordered, as well as the nostalgic taste, were comforting ☺️
A slightly firm pudding is good ✨
The cake I ordered, called Maron, is the most popular, and is a sponge cake filled with plenty of fresh cream. Although the name may fool you, there is no chestnut in it, so be careful 😅
(There was a special marron cake with chestnuts 💦)

There are still many cakes I want to try, so I want to return again and again! Please note that this shop is visited by many people of all ages and genders, and there is a 60-minute limit when it is crowded, so please make a decision based on the situation☝️
