I will participate in the afternoon tea at the newly opened TIAD Hotel in Nagoya, a Marriott Autograph Collection chain. It is located on the opposite side of the department store from Yabacho Station. It is not connected to the station, but it is a 10-second walk.

The lounge is on the 3rd floor. When you enter the 1st floor entrance, the hotel staff will guide you to the elevator. The lounge, which is right next to Hisaya Odori Park, offers a window view that is lush in the summer and colorful in the fall.

It is prepared as a wide corner seat by the window. It is a 4-person table + 2-person table. On the table, a tree tray body shaped like a golden tree branch welcomes me. 👋

You can upgrade the welcome drink to champagne for an additional 1,500 yen, making it 8,000 yen. The basic plan is 6,500 yen and includes a welcome drink. Coffee is served as the hotel's original brand coffee, and tea is Kusmi tea.

The composition includes 4 kinds of savory, 7 kinds of sweets, 2 kinds of scones, and plenty of clotted cream. The performance of putting the dishes one by one on the tray placed on the table adds to the fun.

The sweets are a collaboration with Pierre Hermé Paris, and some of the desserts are directly airlifted from Paris and plated as they are. It is a popular dessert in Japan, and previous Ritz-Carlton chains have collaborated with it.

The savory tastes are luxurious, and the sweets are the same. The price is slightly higher than the average afternoon tea in Nagoya, but the taste and service are acceptable. Thank you.
