[Gunma Prefecture/Shima Onsen] An inn officially recognized by Ghibli!?

I went to Sekizenkan, an inn that is said to have been the setting for Spirited Away, and consists of three accommodation buildings: the main building, the mountain lodge, and Kashotei.

The main building is a historic inn known as the oldest existing hot spring lodge building in Japan.

It is apparently officially recognized by Ghibli as one of the image models for the bathhouse "Aburaya" 🤫!

The atmosphere is different during the day and at night, so I hope you enjoy both!

By the way, on the road to Shima Onsen, there is also a melody road where "Always With Me" plays 🤭
