The cobalt blue lake surface is known as Shima Blue

The most blue and beautiful time is when meltwater flows in from March to May, from 10am to 2pm on a clear day...

The water is highly transparent and free of impurities, so it is said to be the deepest blue water surface.

The blue of the sky, the white clouds, the greenery, and the blue of the lake surface are a spectacular sight.

You can drive around the lake (one-way), and there are two observation decks, and if you go a little further you can see the waterfall.

You should be able to see the floating islands that only appear when the new leaves are in bloom, but maybe because of the heat? There wasn't enough water to make any floating islands.

You can also enjoy activities like SUP and canoeing.

It's also a spectacular view in the autumn when the leaves change color.
