Established in 1956 and officially opened to the public in 1959, this site is not only a sacred place to trace revolutionary footprints and relive the glorious years but also the core starting point for Nanchang's red tourism. ⭐Former Headquarters of the August 1st Uprising
Originally the Jiangxi Grand Hotel, built in 1924, this silver-gray, courtyard-style building faces south. It features a Sino-Western hybrid brick-concrete structure with four main floors and 96 guest rooms. The first floor has a celebration hall for weddings and birthdays, while the second and third floors house Chinese and Western restaurants. The rooftop boasts a tea house called "Stargazing," offering panoramic views of Nanchang at the time. It was here that the Communist Party of China made the pivotal decision to arm itself against the Kuomintang reactionaries, marking the great beginning of independent revolutionary armed leadership.

⭐Former He Long Command Post
Originally the Holy Catholic Church's Hongdao Hall, this Sino-Western architectural gem was designated a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council in 1961. In late July 1927, He Long led the 20th Army of the National Revolutionary Army from Jiujiang to Nanchang and set up his command post here. Inside, He Long's office, meeting rooms, and other scenes are restored to their original state, with faded military uniforms, worn telescopes, and yellowed battle maps quietly displayed, evoking the era's imprint.

⭐Former Ye Ting Command Post
In late July 1927, Ye Ting led the 24th Division of the 11th Army of the National Revolutionary Army to Nanchang and established his headquarters here. Located on the campus of Nanchang No. 2 High School, this symmetrical "I"-shaped building, built in 1925 as part of the former Xinyuan Middle School, faces south in a serene environment. Exhibits highlight General Ye Ting's life and his outstanding contributions to the Nanchang Uprising, showcasing the bravery of the "Iron Army."

⭐Former Residence of Zhu De
This two-story brick-wood structure, built in the 1920s, features carved eaves above the doorframe and a solemn, antique double-door design with a courtyard, typical of Jiangnan residential style. In January 1927, Zhu De was sent by the Party to Nanchang for revolutionary work and lived here. The residence now houses exhibitions detailing Zhu De's key activities and historical contributions before and after the August 1st Nanchang Uprising.

⭐Former Site of Zhu De's Officer Training Corps
One of the few century-old architectural relics in Nanchang, this site was originally the Jiangxi Military Preparatory School and later served as the Jiangxi Army Elementary School and Jiangxi Military Academy, witnessing the origins of China's modern military education. The surviving structures consist of three garden-style brick-wood single-story courtyards with about 20 rooms, forming a distinctive "Kuang"-shaped layout, making it a unique site for modern military talent cultivation.
