Stayed up late to organize this nanny-level one-day tour guide for Guangwu Mountain! Please keep it!!
National Geographic really didn’t lie to me, Asia’s longest red carpet is already laid out…
The whole mountain is covered in red, the forest is dyed in layers, and the red leaves’ peak viewing period lasts over 35 days—this is the ultimate red leaf experience!
Right now, 80% of Guangwu Mountain’s autumn colors have already appeared, it’s totally worth rushing to see.

Late October to mid-November is the best time to see the red leaves at Guangwu Mountain 🍁
The colors reach their peak, missing it means waiting another year!

🍁 About transportation (departing from Chengdu):
✔️ High-speed train + direct shuttle: Chengdu → Bazhong East Station (high-speed train about 2.5h), then transfer to the scenic area direct shuttle
✔️ Bazhong East Station direct shuttle: two departures at 10:30 and 12:30, no worries if you miss the early one
✔️ Self-driving: about 5 hours from Chengdu, it’s recommended to leave a day early, stay overnight in Nanjiang County, then head straight to the scenic area the next day.

🍁 About the tour route guide:
✔️ Morning: Natural Gallery
· Guangwu Mountain’s "red leaf carpet" is right here! A 700m boardwalk surrounded by red leaves, every step a new scene. It’s already fully yellow now!! Every snap is a masterpiece.
· The drop-off point is the best photo spot, tall straight trees form a natural frame, stepping on thick fallen leaves that rustle underfoot. Can’t imagine how beautiful it is on a sunny day here~

✔️ Afternoon: Xianglu Mountain and Black Bear Valley
· Take the cable car up the mountain, passing through the high-altitude snow sea and rime wonderland
· At the summit, the sea of clouds and red leaves appear together, overlooking the colorful forest covering the mountain, a magnificent view in full sight
· Recommended to shoot in the afternoon when the clouds disperse and sunlight shines on the red leaves, making the colors more distinct
· Coming down from Xianglu Mountain is Black Bear Valley, a 2.1km downhill boardwalk walk. Most of the photos in the pictures are taken in Black Bear Valley, really don’t miss this place!!

🍁 Some small tips for your visit:
✔️ Clothing: Check the weather in advance!! It’s very cold on Guangwu Mountain now, thick jackets are needed. Wearing light-colored clothes makes photos stand out more, especially against the red background.
✔️ Photo spots: Xianglu Mountain viewing platform for panoramic views, Natural Gallery for details, Black Bear Valley for flowing water and red leaves
✔️ If it’s rainy or foggy, don’t go up Xianglu Mountain, the fog is very thick on the mountain.
