How to enjoy Nanjing? This one article is enough

Walk 30,000 steps in Nanjing over the weekend; this ancient capital of the Six Dynasties is even more enjoyable to explore than you might think! Attractions are concentrated and the subway is convenient, perfectly illustrating the saying "One Ming City Wall connects half of Jinling's history" 🧱

🚩 Classic two-day itinerary:
Day 1: Xuanwu Lake → Ming City Wall → Jiming Temple → Presidential Palace → Laomendong
- Enter from the south gate of Xuanwu Lake, taking the little train around the lake is super relaxing 🚂
- The best photo spot of Jiming Temple is actually on the nearby Ming City Wall
- For lunch, we recommend going to Kexiang for snacks; the fermented rice balls are a must-try!

Day 2: Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum → Music Stage → Nanjing Museum → Confucius Temple night tour
- It’s best to visit the Music Stage in the morning when the pigeons are more active 🕊️
- Book the museum tickets 3 days in advance; the lockers at the entrance are often full
- For the night tour, be sure to try the red bean glutinous rice balls at Lianhu Cake Shop

⚠️ Useful tips:
1. All attractions are accessible by subway; taking a taxi may cause traffic jams
2. The audio guides at scenic spots are not cost-effective; using your phone for explanations is recommended
3. If you are allergic to sycamore fluff, remember to bring a mask
4. The busiest time is the cherry blossom season from March to April; the best experience is during the red maple season in November

🍜 Must-try foods:
- Duck blood vermicelli soup (recommended: Huiwei Duck Blood Vermicelli)
- Salted duck (Han Fuxing old brand)
- Beef potstickers (Li Ji Halal Restaurant)
- Sweet taro shoots (Fangpo Cake Shop)

🏨 Accommodation recommendation:
Near Xinjiekou subway station is the most convenient. We stayed at Orange Hotel, just a 3-minute walk to the subway, and the Yin’s Soup Dumplings downstairs are also delicious~
