Tokyo|Eat until the last minute before boarding the plane

There is a wide variety of food in the departure area of Tokyo Narita Airport. The JAPAN FOOD HALL, which opened in September 2023, is home to many famous restaurants, including "Ginza Kaori", "Kyoshin", "Kamino Coffee", "Yondaime Kikukawa", etc., so that everyone can eat until the last minute. This time, I chose the beef specialty store "Kyoto Katsugyu".

The price of Kyoto Katsugyu set meal ranges from 2,600 to 6,900 yen, depending on the part and grade of the beef. The price is reasonable for an airport. Katsugyu does not have the heating plate commonly seen in Gillette beef. The steaks are quick-fried at 190 degrees for 60 seconds, insisting on the most ideal degree of doneness considered by the store.

The black wagyu sirloin we chose this time was very marbling. The medium-rare wagyu beef was soft and rich in oil, and the crispy batter was simple and impactful. Another selling point of the Katsu beef is the rich seasoning methods, which include wasabi soy sauce, sansho salt, steak sauce, curry sauce, fresh wasabi, chili miso sauce, radish and yuzu vinegar, etc. It tastes very good with any of them. Personally, I like to dip it in the hot spring egg, which adds a sense of evil to the whole dish.
