Located between Iloilo Province and Bacolod, this mansion was built in the early 1900s by the wealthy businessman Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson in memory of his late wife. To recreate his wife's favorite European style, he specially hired Italian craftsmen to design it, using imported cement and sugar industry funds. The interior was both exquisite and elegant.
However, during World War II, to prevent the Japanese forces from using it as a military base, local guerrillas were forced to set it on fire. Today, the remaining stone walls and arches gleam golden under the sunset, becoming an eternal symbol of love and sorrow ❤️
🕰 Highlights:
• Sunset is the best time for photography.
• At night, the lighting creates a dreamy atmosphere reminiscent of a European castle.
• Recognized as one of the most romantic spots in the Philippines.
