Shifen station is located in Pingxi district of New Taipei City. It is originally built for transporting coal, and now it become one of the most popular on the Pingxi rail line.
Traveling from Taipei by train take around 90 minutes, you need to change at Ruifang station, and then stop at Shifen station.
Shifen old street and Jingan bridge are next to Shifen station. The 128 meters long Jingan bridge, which was constructed in 1947, is the junction bridge between Shifen and Nanshen village.
One can walk along the railway tracks, taste various local delicacies, buying the sky lanterns at Shifen old street and write down their wishes before releasing it into the sky. You also can watch the trains passing directly by the doorways.
