Visiting Yehliu Geopark in New Taipei City is truly an awe-inspiring experience, showcasing the incredible artistry of nature.
Walking along the winding trails, you'll encounter uniquely shaped rock formations that resemble works of art, leaving you dazzled. The most famous of these is the Queen's Head, standing tall with its elegant contours and slender neck, like a natural sculpture of a queen, drawing countless visitors to take photos. Nearby, the Mushroom Rocks resemble open umbrellas with their whimsical shapes; the Fairy's Shoe looks like a crystal slipper from a fairy tale; and the Candle Rock stands like a coastal beacon, majestic and slightly mysterious.
What’s impressive is that Yehliu not only boasts diverse geological features but also has excellent park maintenance and management. The trails are clean, and the information boards are clear, allowing visitors to explore safely while learning about geology. Of course, when visiting, remember to protect yourself from the sun and mosquitoes. In summer, it’s recommended to wear a hat, apply sunscreen, and bring a handheld fan for added comfort.
Strolling through the park, feeling the sea breeze brush past these extraordinary rock formations shaped over millions of years, one thought comes to mind: Nature truly surpasses any artist!
