Bowling Green, New York

Cute park, drenched in rich American history. Bowling Green offers visitors a serene place to sit; either on a bench or in the grasss. There is a nice size fountain in the middle, weather permitting. The fountain is drained during the winter months and the fountain becomes home to a large Christmas tree. Bowling Green got it's name because the park was once used as a bowling alley when bowling was played on the grass. This small park is located, a couple blocks off the Hudson River and is surrounded by many other attractions.
Beautiful park. It’s a gorgeous oasis in the middle of downtown Manhattan. The landscaping is incredible. I’d recommend for a lunch break or a date. Great spot!
