【Secret Journey to the Sichuan-Qinghai Border】Essentials of Jiuzhi & Aba County (Including Transportation/Itinerary/Food & Accommodation)
🚗 How to Get There?
• Self-driving is the top choice: The main way to get around is by car. You can start from Chengdu, passing through Dujiangyan - Wenchuan - Aba County, about 7 hours in total; or from Xining, passing through Guoluo to Jiuzhi, about 5 hours. The roads are mostly paved, but be cautious of many mountain curves.
• Public Transport: There are 1-2 daily buses from Chengdu Chadianzi Bus Station to Aba County, taking about 8 hours. Jiuzhi County can be reached by bus from Guoluo Prefecture.
💰 Ticket Reference
• Lianbaoyeze Scenic Area: Peak season 120 RMB/person (April-October), off-season 60 RMB/person (November-March), self-driving cars can enter the core area.
• Gemo Monastery: Free admission.
• Dehelong Monastery: Open for free, an important practice site of the Nyingma school.
