Nha Trang Adventures – Beaches, Islands & Theme Park Thrills

Nha Trang was one of the destinations on my bucket list. Vietnam has so many interesting places to visit, and this trip to Nha Trang was actually my fifth visit to Vietnam.

Honestly, this beach town trip wasn't part of my original plan. My main goal in early July was to go to Redang Island, and I had even bought a bus ticket to Terengganu. But since there were no hotels available for the dates I wanted, I had to cancel my trip. Not just Redang, even Lang Tengah Island's hotels were fully booked.

But, it was a blessing in disguise. Instead of Redang, I ended up visiting Nha Trang, about a 2-hour and 20-minute flight from KLIA2. Thankfully, the weather there was great, even though it was quite hot. The city was bustling with tourists, especially from South Korea and Europe.

Nha Trang's beach is a long, clean bay. Interestingly, beach activities there start as early as 5:00 - 5:30 AM local time. So by 6:30 AM Malaysia time, the beach was already crowded, especially with locals doing exercise, yoga, or swimming. Maybe that's why Vietnam has one of the lowest obesity rates!

I stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights, doing various activities like snorkeling at Hon Mun (Mun Island), a mud bath at Hon Tam (Tam Island), and visiting the Disneyland-like theme park VinWonders at VinPearl, not far from Nha Trang beach. To get to VinWonders, I took the cable car to enjoy the scenic view of that coastal city.

The island and waters around Nha Trang were stunning, with blue-green seawater. There were also lots of cute fish around where we snorkeled.

The mud bath was another great experience since the warm mud there has a lot of minerals that are good for the skin. It was perfect after spending a hot day doing water activities.
