Sri Lanka, the tear of the Indian Ocean must have fallen here

When I was little, because of the phrase "the last tear of the Indian Ocean," Sri Lanka was put on my travel list.

Now that I have finally arrived in Sri Lanka and followed the coastline to Galle Fort, I truly understand the meaning of that phrase. My friends and I even changed our accommodation for the next four days to this place.

All the photos in this post were taken at Galle Fort.

(⚠️: The snowy mountain in photo 1 was edited in later. I liked it so much that I included it. The actual view from this spot is shown in photos 10 and onwards.)

The fort is a large elevated green area, with a full view of the city behind and the endless sea in front. The last time I felt such awe was at Castle Hill in Nice, France.

Galle is a seaside town in southern Sri Lanka, a city with more beaches than buildings. Due to its colonial history, it has a strong European atmosphere.

Sri Lanka now has a visa-free or almost visa-free policy; you can get a free visa online in just a few minutes. There are also direct flights from China. The cost of travel there is very affordable. I sincerely recommend this hidden gem destination to everyone.

If you have any questions about Sri Lanka, feel free to leave a comment or message me. I will read them all~
