Who would've thought! Taking a June loop tour around Lugu Lake will literally make you scream from its breathtaking beauty! Though it's the rainy season, the post-rain lake surface transforms into a magical deep blue that's utterly mesmerizing. The best part? Fewer tourists mean you can take all the photos you want without photobombers – having the entire scenic view to yourself feels absolutely amazing!
We chose to stay near Puluo Flower Sea Pier, mainly because I prefer quiet environments away from crowds. Waking up to vast flower fields right outside your window, especially during bloom season with dancing water lilies across the lake, feels like stepping into a fairyland! (Note: Non-drivers might find Daduo Village more convenient for transportation.)
Our loop journey began at Puluo Flower Sea, where white water lilies dancing on emerald waves instantly healed our souls! Taking the counterclockwise route, we discovered several hidden gems, with two must-visit spots:
1⃣️ Goddess Bay
We originally came for sunset views, but thick clouds ruined our plans. Surprisingly, even without sunset, Goddess Bay's crystal-clear waters mirroring distant mountains created picture-perfect backdrops for both landscapes and portraits! (Photos 1,2,3)
2⃣️ Lige Peninsula🏝️
The Lige Peninsula viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views that'll dominate your social media feed – though you might queue for photos. Venture further down to Lige Village for a hidden paradise: fewer crowds, sparkling sunlit waters, and willow-lined shores make for dreamy, atmospheric shots with the peninsula backdrop. ⚠️ Bloody lesson: SUN PROTECTION IS CRUCIAL! Lugu Lake's UV rays are insane! Morning drizzle made us underestimate the overcast afternoon, resulting in painful sunburns. Pack sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and UV-protective clothing – don't repeat our mistake!
