Tokyo Nishi-Shinjuku Travel Guide & Tips 🏙️

#OverseasTravel

📍What makes Nishi-Shinjuku so special?
It might seem like a bustling area for office workers, thanks to its dense concentration of Tokyo skyscrapers, but it's actually a hidden gem for travelers, with free observation decks, delicious restaurants, and quiet walking paths.

✨ Recommended Itinerary
1️⃣ Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatory (東京都庁)
• Free admission!
• View Mt. Fuji during the day, and Tokyo Tower and the nighttime skyline of Skytree 😍
• Shorter lines, so we recommend visiting in the morning or evening.

2️⃣ Shinjuku Chuo Park (Shinjuku Chuo Park)
• Right next door! A great spot to take a break while strolling among the skyscrapers
• A secretly beautiful spot even during cherry blossom season 🌸

3️⃣ Gourmet Tour
• Nishi-Shinjuku is a densely populated office district, so there are many affordable ramen restaurants for lunch.
• Example: Menya Musashi (麺屋武蔵) → A great place for hearty ramen
• Or, grab dinner in an izakaya alley in the basement of an office building 🍺

4️⃣ Hidden Shopping
• Visit the department stores near Shinjuku Station's west exit (Isetan, Bic Camera Electronics Mall)
• The atmosphere is more local than touristy, so it's much more relaxed.

💡 Nishi-Shinjuku Tips
• The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatory is closed on Mondays → Check this when planning your itinerary!
• Lines are shorter at night, so you can get in right away.
• It's much quieter than the east side of Shinjuku (Kabukicho), allowing you to experience the "leisure of downtown Tokyo."
