🗻 Hell Valley in winter, it's a bit white!
Take you to enjoy the beauty of Jigokudani Hell Valley (Hell Valley), a very hot landmark in Noboribetsetsu that you must see with your own eyes at least once!!
👹 Why is it called "hell"? :
Because this place is the origin of hot springs (Onsen), so there is smoke + a slight smell of sulfur all the time. And this smoke is what makes Hell Valley even more beautiful and charming. The admin recommends that you really have to come ❤
📌 Hell Valley Jigokudani (Hell Valley), Noboribetsu, Hokkaido
💰 Free admission
🚍 How to get there
- Take the JR to Noboribetsu Station (from Sapporo, it takes about 1 hour)
- Then take the Donan bus in front of JR Station to get off at Noboribetsu Onsen (the noticeable sign where many people get off) It takes about 15 minutes, the fare is 350 yen
- After getting off the bus, you can walk to Hell Valley. Along the way, there are many places to stop and take pictures, such as the giant baton field with hot springs, giant statues and various animals. It takes about 15 minutes to walk.
💬
- Not far from Sapporo, can be organized as a one-day trip.
- Can stop by as a stop before traveling to/from Hakodate (I also stopped by on the way from Sapporo to Hakodate).
- If you have time, I recommend staying overnight to try the hot springs at Hokkaido's famous hot springs.
