The best shrine in the eastern of Hokkaido where the snow fairy Shimaenaga comes

It is a shrine founded in 1910 and one of the seven separate shrines in Hokkaido. The enshrined deities are the three pioneer gods of Ookuni Tama no Kami, Onamuchi no Kami, and Sukunahiko no Kami. In particular, Onamu Chikami is another name for the great god of Izumo Taisha Shrine, and has various benefits such as agriculture, commerce, medical care, and martial arts, such as matchmaking.

The precincts rich in nature were designated as an environmental green space protection area in Hokkaido in 1974. In addition to large trees such as halling, walnuts, and wigs growing naturally, there are also many wild animals such as shimaenaga, ezo squirrel, and ezomomonga.
