Obuse is famous as the home of chestnuts.

You can enjoy a variety of sweets made with generous amounts of chestnuts.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the seasonal, reservation-only Kuri no Tenjin Suzaku, made with fresh chestnuts.

We use generous amounts of chestnut paste prepared in-house, in both Japanese and Western styles.

I had planned to eat the Mont Blanc inside the store, but the line was so long, even though it was raining, that I gave up and got takeout to enjoy in the car.
The Mont Blanc made with fresh chestnuts was absolutely delicious.
