Odawara Station...I've only ever used it to transfer to the Shinkansen...In fact, the Nozomi Shinkansen doesn't stop there, so I've only ever passed by...
That's actually a shame✋😫

💰Castle tower fee Adults 510 yen, elementary and junior high school students 200 yen

💰Miniature train/battery car 80 yen (adults can ride)
Automatic playground machine 30 yen (children only)

📍Miyukinohama/tunnel leading to the sea

📍Odawara Castle
A beautiful cherry blossom viewing spot in spring🌸
You can enter the castle
and the view from the castle tower is amazing!
And next to the castle there is a shop
that sells shaved ice and beer🍺
I gulped down a beer without hesitation🍺👩🏻

And behind the castle
is a children's amusement park🎡🎢
It's an amusement park! I say it's a small space!
But...! It's super cheap! 🫢
Adults can ride the miniature train for 80 yen😂
Battery cars (like go-karts) and
small moving toys like those found in arcades
You can ride them for a bargain price, so your kids will be delighted✌️
📍Miyuki Beach/Tunnel leading to the sea
The beach here is more like rocks than sand!
Everyone had fun having a BBQ⛱
A bar is open during the swimming season🍺✨

And the one I really recommend is
[Tunnel leading to the sea]
Go through the tunnel and you'll see the sea!
It's really wonderful! 🥹

It wasn't too crowded and it was so cozy
I chilled out from noon until it got dark...🥰

📍☕️ Kaigandori
A coffee shop located right next to Miyuki Beach
It's a small coffee shop
But it was really cozy☕️
In the summer, they also offer takeout shaved ice
Everyone was taking it out and eating it by the sea🍧😋

📍 Choshudo bar lounge terrace Odawara
A bar in front of the station that just opened
It had such good reviews on Google Maps that I was curious to go and went
It was the best space‼ ︎
They open from 3pm🫢🍸

The bartender is a 30-year-old man🍸

He starts conversations at the perfect time and makes the right cocktail even with a vague order🍸

They have a wide variety of whiskeys, and even I, who have 6 years of experience as a bartender, was impressed🥹❤️

I honestly want to keep it a secret, but it's a special treat for those who have read this far🤣🍸❤️

Why not get off at Odawara once in a while and take it easy? ☺️

My house has changed from a transfer station for the Shinkansen to a city I want to visit again and again☺️❤️
