I went to the plum grove at Osaka Castle to see the plum blossoms for the first time in a year.

This year was a warm day, so last Saturday

The plums in the plum grove were 80% to nearly full bloom, and some branches were beautiful in color with red, white, and pink plums.

In the midst of the faint, refreshing scent of the plum blossoms, under a clear sky, the sight of the plum blossoms blooming up into the sky, and the grace of the gently sloping weeping plums, soothed my heart, and it was a very good day.

The plum grove here at Osaka Castle can be reached in 5 to 10 minutes on foot from either the JR line or the subway, and there are plenty of sightseeing spots to do in addition to seeing Osaka Castle.

JO Terrace is lined with restaurants, a rest area for jogging, Osaka Castle Hall, and a sightseeing boat ride. It is a tourist spot and a place of relaxation for the citizens of Osaka Prefecture. Its beauty is particularly captivating during cherry blossom season.
