A Dialogue Between the City and Water

In the morning, I arrived at the Umeda Sky Building and took the elevator straight up to the Floating Garden Observatory to overlook the cityscape of Osaka. Below me were the intricate streets, and in the distance, the shimmering Osaka Bay. The city was awakening in the morning light. I stood on the open-air observation deck, feeling the breeze and experiencing the charm of Osaka’s bustling yet peaceful coexistence. In the afternoon, I took the train to Kyoto and visited the vibrant Kyoto Aquarium. The most captivating sight inside was the spacious tanks where dolphins and whale sharks swam gracefully. The rippling water and shifting light made me feel as if I were deep under the sea. I paused at the “Kyo no Kawa” exhibit, observing the aquatic life living in the Kamo River, sensing the close connection between this city and water. Finally, I went to the outdoor dolphin show arena, watching the dolphins leap out of the water, with droplets sparkling in the sunlight, marking a light and beautiful end to the day’s journey.
