Review of a Newly Opened Hotel in Umeda

A newly opened hotel with only 15 days of operation, so there are no reviews yet—this is my first review. Typically, when staying at a hotel in Umeda, I use the limousine bus, but for this hotel, you need to choose the Haruka train. Make sure to find the Umekita exit, and once you come out, you'll see a large sign for Grand Green Osaka on your left. Head underground to the left, pass by the Bio-ral supermarket, and follow the hotel sign to take the elevator to the 5th floor where the front desk is located. After checking in, you'll need to take another elevator to reach your room. This process can be quite inconvenient, especially if you want to use the subway—you'll need to take three elevators or two elevators and an escalator to get there. If you walk to the right side of the subway exit, you'll find a FamilyMart convenience store (the closest one), Umekita Cellar restaurants, and if you keep walking straight, you'll reach the southern part of Grand Front Osaka.
The hotel facilities, size, water pressure, soundproofing, and overall service are excellent and clean. However, personally, I found it disappointing that there isn't a convenience store right in front of the hotel, which is one of the small joys of traveling in Japan. The supermarket on the basement floor is an eco-friendly store similar to Korea's OLGA, and you can quickly browse through it. The food court is nice but has dim lighting, which I found slightly uncomfortable. There’s an okonomiyaki restaurant called Momotaro, a robatayaki place, and a famous bakery as well. Personally, spending over 300,000 KRW per night for the Grand Respire experience felt like a one-time thing. Other hotels in the Respire chain seem to be more convenient in various ways.
Of course, there are still areas under construction, and since the hotel has just opened, it feels like things are not fully settled yet. By the way, if you’re traveling with a stroller or kids, there’s a spacious park with plenty of benches in front of the hotel, making it easy to get around. The second floor is connected to LUCUA, which is convenient. On the first floor, there’s Café Kitsuné and Margaret Howell Café, and on the second floor, there’s a large store of the French brand Agnès b., which was a pleasant surprise. If you want to enjoy some relaxation amidst the bustling Umeda area, I recommend this hotel.
