Osaka, The Food Capital Of Japan. Eat Like A King On A Budget.

Osaka is a must stop for any foodie out there and has some of the best food streets in Asia, it’s infamous for the Dotombori in particular. It’s also a lot more reasonable than Tokyo or Kyoto, so if you’re looking for a more budget friendly city then head to Osaka.

⭐️ Airport - The airport is located on a man made island in the bay and you can get a high speed train into the city centre. It’s cheaper and more efficient than taxis, coaches or buses.

⭐️ Hotels - Osaka has a really good range of boutique hotels, they offer really nice rooms with good amenities for a reasonable price. I stayed at the Lively Honmashi and was really impressed, most boutique hotels are located in this area called Umeda.

⭐️ Transport - The city is a very pedestrian friendly place with an efficient metro network, we got a metro ticket for the days we were there and used that mainly. In the evenings we used a few ubers and they were a lot cheaper than in Tokyo

⭐️ Food - This is what you really come to Osaka for! Every night we headed to the Dotonbori, it’s a famous area full of restaurants, street food vendors and walking streets. The buildings are covered in larger than life adverts for each restaurants they compete for customers. This is the cheapest place to eat in the city and offers the best choice, if you want more expensive food the side streets offer korean BBQ, Sushi and Kobe beef!
