Review of Traveling in Japan: Osaka | The City of Brightness That Melts Your Heart 💖✨

Hello everyone! Today, Boom will take you to Osaka,
the vibrant city of Japan known for its delicious food, exciting shopping spots, and an atmosphere full of authentic Japanese charm.
If you're looking for a delightful trip to Japan, I highly recommend Osaka. I guarantee you'll have so much fun that you'll fall in love with it!

Easy Arrival in Osaka ✈️🛤️

Getting to Osaka is super easy because Kansai International Airport is connected to the city center by the fast and affordable JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service train. Once you leave the airport, just buy a ticket and take the train into the city.
In about an hour, you'll arrive at Namba Station, the shopping and entertainment hub in central Osaka.

I chose to stay in the Namba area because it's convenient for travel,
close to many dining and shopping spots, and full of neon lights and lively crowds all night long.

Chic Dining and Shopping at Dotonbori 🌟🍡

Once in Namba, I quickly went for a stroll along Dotonbori Street,
Osaka’s famous pedestrian street packed with tons of restaurants and spectacular neon signs that are city landmarks, like the Glico Man sign that everyone stops to take photos with.

Osaka’s signature dish, Takoyaki (round balls filled with octopus), smelled amazing. I tried it with the shop’s special sauce—crispy on the outside, soft inside, and topped with mayonnaise to enhance the flavor.
It was so delicious I had to buy it multiple times.

There’s also Okonomiyaki, Osaka-style Japanese pancakes filled with vegetables and meat, topped with sweet sauce and mayonnaise. This was another dish I really loved.

Universal Studios Japan (USJ) – A World of Unforgettable Fun 🎢🎠

On the second day, I went on an adventure at Universal Studios Japan,
a super popular theme park for both kids and adults. It’s divided into various themed zones that are incredibly impressive.

My favorite was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,
which felt like stepping into a real magical world. Walking through Hogsmeade Village, sipping sweet Butterbeer, and trying rides based on the movies gave me a truly magical experience.

Another exciting zone was Super Nintendo World,
featuring the Mario Kart ride that made me feel like I was racing in the game itself. It was so fun and thrilling that I didn’t want to leave this zone.

Shopping Spree at Shinsaibashi 🛍️💕

I spent the afternoon shopping at Shinsaibashi,
a long shopping street with a huge variety of stores, from famous brands to small shops selling cute, authentic Japanese items.

There were plenty of souvenirs, snacks, and cosmetics. I bought mochi, daifuku,
and fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth soufflé cakes to bring back for my friends.

One-Day Trip to Kyoto 🌸🎋

Osaka is very close to Kyoto, so I didn’t miss the chance to take a day trip there. Kyoto is a charming city with a nostalgic vibe,
full of temples and beautiful gardens.

The most impressive place was Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, with its long rows of red torii gates stretching up the mountain. Walking through the torii gates felt like stepping into a fairy tale.

Another favorite spot was the Gion district,
which has a retro atmosphere like stepping back into the Edo period. Occasionally, you can see geishas or maikos walking by, giving a real glimpse of traditional Japanese culture.

Kuromon Ichiba Market – Fresh Seafood and Diverse Eats 🦐🍣

Back in Osaka, I stopped by Kuromon Ichiba Market,
a fresh market filled with fresh seafood and a variety of foods,
including grilled scallops, tempura shrimp, sushi, and fresh, sweet, and crisp fruits.

This market is perfect for those who love trying new foods
and want to experience authentic Osaka dining culture.

Namba Parks & Don Quijote – Relaxed Shopping and Cute Souvenirs 🎁✨

At the end of the trip, I strolled around Namba Parks,
a city-edge shopping mall with a beautiful rooftop garden where you can relax and take photos.

After that, I went on a souvenir shopping spree at Don Quijote,
a paradise for finding Japanese souvenirs because it has everything—from snacks and cosmetics to various daily items and cute keepsakes.

Little Tips for the Best Osaka Trip 💡
• Buy an ICOCA or Suica card for trains and buses. It’s very convenient and you don’t have to worry about buying tickets each time.
• Wear comfortable shoes because you’ll be walking a lot.
• Download translation and navigation apps on your phone—they can be lifesavers.
• Bring your own reusable bag because plastic bags aren’t usually free in Japan.
• Don’t forget to try Osaka’s famous takoyaki and okonomiyaki!

Summary of Impressions 💕

Osaka is a city full of color, fun,
and food flavors that delight from the very first bite.
From strolling along Dotonbori Street, visiting the exciting theme park, shopping, to nearby Kyoto sightseeing, every moment here was so enjoyable that I want to come back many times.

If you’re planning a trip to Japan, I highly recommend Osaka as a great choice that will fill your trip with wonderful memories and smiles all along the way.
