Osaka

Review of traveling in Osaka, the city of fun, delicious food, and warm smiles 💖

Hello everyone! Today, we’re taking you to Osaka, a charming city full of vibrant colors and warmth. Whether it’s amazing food, beautiful landmarks, or lively, laughter-filled atmospheres, this city makes your heart race every time you visit! If you’re ready, let’s see what we did on this trip, how delicious the food was, and just how lovely Osaka is~

Starting the trip at Kansai Airport with the awesome ICOCA card!

The moment you step off the plane at Kansai Airport, you can feel the freshness of this city! The airport is spacious and clean, with clear signs and very kind staff.

We used the ICOCA card that we bought before traveling, which is like a rechargeable multi-purpose travel card. It’s super convenient for trains, buses, or even buying things at convenience stores. No need to worry about buying tickets for each ride.

Comfortable accommodation in the heart of Namba, Osaka’s hottest district

We chose to stay at a small hotel in Namba, the heart of the city’s fun area, full of restaurants, cute cafes, and cool shopping spots. It’s very convenient, close to several subway stations.

The room wasn’t big but well-organized, with a soft bed to rest on after a tiring day of walking. The view outside showed the city lights sparkling—super romantic!

First meal with takoyaki, the delicious round balls at Dotonbori

You can’t talk about Osaka without mentioning takoyaki! We strolled around Dotonbori and found many takoyaki shops. The aroma of crispy fried batter and big pieces of octopus was irresistible.

The first bite was pure happiness. The hot round balls were crispy on the outside, soft inside, with chewy octopus. The sweet and salty sauce paired perfectly with mayonnaise and fluffy dried fish flakes. So delicious, we wanted to eat many more!

Okonomiyaki, the Japanese pizza everyone loves

Another must-try dish is okonomiyaki, a Japanese pancake mixed with cabbage, pork, egg, and special sauce, topped with rich mayonnaise.

We found a small shop where the owner cooked it himself with friends. The taste was well-balanced and fragrant with every bite. The more we ate, the more we loved it, wanting to order one or two more plates!

Fun shopping at Shinsaibashi, the hub of fashion and lifestyle

If you love shopping, you’ll definitely fall for Shinsaibashi. There are many stores from famous brands to local shops, plus plenty of cute cafes.

We shopped while sipping iced green tea, enjoying ourselves so much we lost track of time. Plus, we got some great souvenirs to take home.

Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine with its peaceful and beautiful atmosphere

From the lively city, we changed the mood to experience tranquility at Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, a beautiful bright red shrine with a long history.

The atmosphere was quiet and the breeze cool. We wrote wishes on ema plaques and prayed for health and good luck. It felt very relaxing and refreshing.

Universal Studios Japan, fun for all ages

Universal Studios Japan is a must-visit for fun lovers! There’s the Harry Potter zone that makes you feel like you’re in a magical world, and the colorful Super Nintendo World with lots of exciting rides.

We enjoyed thrilling rides, laughed with friends, and took photos with adorable characters. It was a day full of laughter!

Evening stroll at Dotonbori, experiencing the lights and lively vibe

At night, Dotonbori shines with colorful neon lights, filled with laughter and music. We loved walking along the canal, tasting snacks, and taking beautiful photos.

The atmosphere is both romantic and lively at the same time, making us feel like part of the city’s vibrant life.
