Osaka…
A city full of energy, charm, and endless delicious food! If you’ve never been, I must say you’ve missed out on so many great things in life. But if you have been here before, you’ll understand just how captivating this city is ♡
💗 The start of this trip was landing at Kansai Airport
then taking the train into the city. Osaka welcomed us with cool, comfortable weather and a lively atmosphere. Just riding the train through the city was exciting because everything around looked simple yet adorable!
🌸 The first place we visited was “Osaka Castle,”
the symbol of this city. The white castle with golden edges is as beautiful as if it came straight out of a painting. Inside, there’s a museum where you can enjoy the history at your own pace, or you can go up to the observation deck to see a panoramic view of the city. Breathing in the cool air felt like a refreshing break for the soul.
🍡 Not far from there, we stopped by “Shinsaibashi,”
a shopping district that fashion lovers will adore. There are so many cute shops selling clothes, shoes, cosmetics, and authentic Japanese trinkets that make you want to buy everything. There are plenty of 100-yen shops too, and just walking around is so much fun~
🍜 A little further on is “Dotonbori,”
a paradise for foodies! The famous Glico sign is a must-see city landmark where everyone takes photos. But what impressed me more was the food! There’s original takoyaki, okonomiyaki (Japanese-style pizza), and hot ramen that’s incredibly satisfying. Don’t miss Ichiran, which has private booths so you can savor the flavors quietly ♥
🐙 Another favorite is the sweets and dessert shops in Osaka,
which are super kawaii! Small cafes decorated like cartoons, pastel-colored cakes, drinks topped with cotton candy, bear- or cat-shaped bread—everything looks so delicate that you almost don’t want to eat it!
🏰 If you like amusement parks, I recommend “Universal Studios Japan (USJ).”
It’s breathtaking from the moment you step in, especially The Wizarding World of Harry Potter zone, which looks just like in the movies. You can wave a magic wand, sip on butterbeer, or visit Minion Park, which is so cute it hurts your heart. You’ll be smiling all day as if you’ve stepped into a fantasy world!
🧸 In the evening, we strolled around “Amerikamura” (American Village),
a hip, vintage-style area that feels like walking in Tokyo but less crowded. There are secondhand clothing stores, trendy cafes with cute graphics, and plenty of photo spots.
🛏 Our accommodation that night was near Namba, close to both Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori, very convenient for walking. The room was small but clean and cozy in typical Japanese style. The best part was the onsen to soak in before bed! After a whole day of walking, soaking in the hot water felt like recharging my battery to 100%.
🧳 The next day, we visited “Kuromon Market,”
a market with so much food it brought tears to my eyes. There was fresh sushi, grilled wagyu beef skewers, large oysters, and lots of cute and useful souvenirs at reasonable prices. Walking around eating and shopping was so enjoyable.
🛍 Before heading back, we stopped to buy souvenirs at “Don Quijote,”
a world of variety with everything from daily necessities, food, and quirky items to Japanese snacks, cartoon-themed cups, over 100 types of face masks, and kawaii toys that make it hard to choose just one!
💌 What impressed me most about Osaka was the people.
They are kind, smiling, playful in a cute way, and helpful even though I only spoke a little Japanese. Osaka has both the bustling vibe of a big city and the warmth of a small home, making you feel like you’re visiting a friend who always cares about you.
🎀 In summary, Osaka is a city that’s irresistibly charming.
You can enjoy a full experience of shopping, eating, playing, taking photos, and relaxing all at once. If you’re planning a trip to Japan, I encourage you to open your heart to Osaka at least once—you’ll discover it has so much more than you ever imagined 💕🇯🇵
