Expo visits on 5/8 and 6/4, about a month apart—how have things changed?
Wednesday, 6/4, clear skies, 22-26℃, wind speed 6m at noon!
A clip to keep your hat from flying off is a must.
This time, since the season has progressed, I brought a parasol for waiting—good call🎶
Although there were forecasts of rain and high temperatures, the weather kept changing and ended up being luckier than expected—not too hot or cold☀
This time I went to the Expo with my 80-year-old parent.
Hmm, there are clearly about 1.5 times more people than last time…😓
Maybe because it’s before the rainy season and before it gets hot, and the organizers apparently raised the admission limit from 100,000 to 150,000… Honestly, I preferred the previous limit😅
Reservations couldn’t be made in advance or on the day, and there are more places where the lines are just too long to wait.
17,000 steps (my parent walked about 10,000 steps).
But since we stood watching videos and moved frequently in lines, my feet hurt more than last time!
Arrived at 10:10, waited 10 minutes at the West Gate
At 10:20, headed straight to “Kura Sushi,” which serves small dishes from around the world, but there was a long line. (Online reservations were already closed)
People who just got tickets said the slot was at 11:30, and the line went all the way around the back of the building.
The line seemed to move slowly. Even takeout was only available for the 14:30 slot, so we gave up😂
We changed plans drastically and took the internal bus
At 10:45, lined up at the Swiss Heidi Cafe, which was originally planned for the evening.
It was closed off, but a staff member said, “It’s about an hour wait. Do you want to line up?”
Since it was a chance to get into a place we couldn’t enter last time due to admission limits, we reluctantly decided to wait😥
Hoping it might move faster than expected.
Glad I brought a parasol and a phone battery☂ Using my phone made the wait feel shorter than expected.
A sign on the line said about an hour and a half, but maybe because of a timing change, it was actually one hour—just as the staff said.
I usually only wait about 20 minutes at most, but this time I felt it was worth it🎶
From 11:45 to 12:45, the long-awaited cheese-focused lunch😍 I deeply savored the richness of various kinds of cheese after a long time😋 It really felt like Switzerland!
Plus, the sunny weather, fresh outdoor air, the view, and the interior created a very refreshing and pleasant atmosphere◎!!
I even sat on the famous “Swiss chair” and took a perfect commemorative photo lol
This was the place with the longest line that day; other places had shorter or no waits.
Good things are worth waiting for, even if the line is long. If it were nearby, a season pass might let you visit during less crowded times for a bit.

I really appreciate the likes so much♥
I don’t know how to create a new spot💦
