Walking through the real Osaka from Namba to Dotonbori

The highlight of this Osaka trip was definitely Namba and Dotonbori. In the morning, I got off at Nankai Namba Station and slowly walked from Doguyasuji (the kitchenware shopping street). Just browsing the shops full of Japanese vibes selling kitchenware, dishes, and cooking tools made me lose track of time.

For lunch, I had fresh seafood rice bowls at Kuromon Market! They piled on tuna sashimi sliced right in front of me, and I couldn’t help but be amazed. I was so full that I sat down and rested for a while before slowly heading to Dotonbori.

They say Dotonbori is best at night, and it was absolutely true. The colorful signs, the sparkling lights along the river, and the lively atmosphere of the people. Taking a photo in front of the Glico sign is a must, and holding a takoyaki in one hand while feeling the river breeze as I walked was such a great feeling.

Osaka is a city that is both bustling and warm like this. It’s my number one city I want to visit again.
